Challenge
A small business owner needs a store that doesn't look like hundreds of templates, without the budget for custom development. A designer needs full access to the theme code. The platform has to combine the freedom of custom code with the reliability of SaaS.
Solution
Storeforma is a modular monolith with three contexts: the marketing site, the platform control plane and the storefront runtime. Every store gets an address on storeforma.shop, a theme that can be edited in code, and ready-made selling modules. AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT) connect over MCP and change the theme, settings and catalog — always as a draft the owner approves.
What we built
- A catalog of any size: variants and stock, filters, SEO filter pages, moderated reviews, CSV and WooCommerce import.
- Cart, a short checkout, online payments and customer accounts.
- Shipping providers connected from the admin, with delivery picked at checkout.
- Themes and sections: colours and fonts tuned in the preview, with direct theme-code editing when needed.
- Blog, multiple storefront languages, redirects, sitemaps and Google Merchant feeds.
- Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel; an integration API and webhooks for CRM and ERP.
Outcome
The platform is in public beta: a catalog takes an evening, not a month, and there is no sales commission. What we built for Storeforma — catalog architecture, checkout, integrations — now powers our client e-commerce projects.
